Shakira revelou que uma vez perdeu letras de músicas em um aeroporto.
Durante uma aparição em um episódio recente de Hot Ones de Sean Evans, a hitmaker colombiana revelou que uma vez ela perdeu as letras de um álbum inteiro no início de sua carreira.
“Quando eu tinha 21 anos, escrevi um trabalho inteiro e ele se perdeu em um aeroporto de Bogotá”, disse Shakira ao anfitrião. “Eu tinha todas as minhas letras na pasta do meu pai porque costumava viajar com meus pais e acho que elas simplesmente desapareceram no aeroporto.”
A cantora do She Wolf explicou que o incidente inspirou o nome de seu álbum de 1998, Where Are the Thieves?, que se traduz como Dónde Están los Ladrones?
“Então é por isso que chamei aquele álbum de Where Are the Thieves? em homenagem a essa história”, disse o homem de 47 anos. "Tive que reconstruir todas as letras na minha cabeça, e consegui depois de muito esforço."
Sean então perguntou a Shakira se ela achava que havia sido “alvo” de um ladrão.
“Não, não, eu não fui um alvo específico”, respondeu ela. “Acho que você sabe, a bolsa desapareceu, a mala desapareceu com as minhas letras e foi uma pena.”
O hitmaker Hips Don't Lie acrescentou alegremente que a experiência foi "tão dolorosa".

Shakira has revealed she once lost song lyrics in an airport.
During an appearance on a recent episode of Sean Evans' Hot Ones, the Colombian hitmaker revealed that she once misplaced an entire album's worth of lyrics earlier in her career.
"When I was like 21, I had written a whole body of work and it got lost at an airport in Bogotá," Shakira told the host. "I had all my lyrics in my dad's briefcase because I used to travel with my parents back in the day and I think that it just disappeared at the airport."
The She Wolf singer explained that the incident inspired the name of her 1998 album Where Are the Thieves?, which translates as Dónde Están los Ladrones?
"So that's why I named that album Where Are the Thieves? after that story," the 47-year-old said. "I had to reconstruct all of the lyrics in my head, and I was able to after a great deal of effort."
Sean then asked Shakira if she thought she had been "targeted" by a thief.
"No, no, I wasn't targeted specifically," she replied. "I think just you know, the bag disappeared, the suitcase disappeared with my lyrics and it was unfortunate."
The Hips Don't Lie hitmaker light-heartedly added that the experience was "so painful".
